I do this with my friends. I find it inspires me. It's like a writing prompt. It is NOT a story consisting of solely three words.
Every week I will post 3 words. You (if you want) will write a story inspired by those three words and the story must INCLUDE the words. Take whatever context you think of it: i.e. orange, it could be the color or the fruit; your pick. Sometimes the words can be made up gibberish.
It is not meant to be a polished piece of work. You get the three words and write non-stop until the three words are included or until you want to stop. It must have the three words.
The story can be one sentence long or a thousand. It doesn't matter. It doesn't have to make sense. When i write them i usually like them to be humorous. But it's your pick.
You can publish it like you normally publish a story here on inkpop and comment with your link or you can post it right in the thread (if it's not too long).
What do you win? Inspiration. A crazy new story to add to your portfolio. And it's fun.

Writing Planes and John
This is my first blog post.
Up there it implies I’m a plane watcher. On some ways I am and on other I want to be.
I want to be a plane watcher as a mechanical engineer. I want to work with planes, aerospace and mostly cars. Oh, and robots!
Today, I’m a different kind of plane watcher. The planes I watch are thoughts flying through my mind.
I’m a writer. Currently, I’m working on the third draft of my novel Five-Fingered Wave. You can see the sucky first draft on www.inkpop.com and search for me, watching07planes.

Today’s plane: Dear John, the movie.
I have not read the book by Nicholas Sparks but I loved the movie and from what I heard the book is even better.
Another great movie inspired by a Nicholas Spark book is The Notebook. It is the same quality and atmosphere. However, I would not put them in the same category. The Notebook is just a love story—in my opinion—whereas Dear John is more about the father-son relationship.
The cast was amazing. Every single actor did brilliantly. Heck, I think even the horse should get an award! Every time Channing Tatum came on the big screen all I could think was “brick wall”, the good kind. I thought that if I ever found myself in front of that man I would love to run at full speed toward his big, tanned body and feel the impact against my skin. He’s an imperfect perfection—physically anyway.
*sighs* I want a tanned brick wall.
